Kitchenalia - Cream Maker
I sell such a lot of these cream makers and as soon as I list one it is soon sold. They are so useful for turning unsalted butter and milk into cream as well as being a decorative piece of kitchenalia to display.
This blue cream maker is unlikely to be made of bakelite as only the darker colours were bakelite. This is more likely to be made of urea formaldehyde, a type of plastic used to make a wide range of kitchenware. On one side of the handle is inscribed 'BEL Cream Maker Jubilee model. Made in England' and on the other side 'Royston (Bel) Sales ltd, Surbiton, Surrey'. It has the 'Jacobean-style' glass receptacle.
