Vintage collectables - Biscuit Barrel
This biscuit barrel is just lovely! the china has been hand painted with pale blue and orange flowers and swags and garlands of ribbons and yellow roses.
The rim, lid and ornate handle are silver plate and marked (see photo).
It measures 10.5 inches from base to top of handle and 5.5 inches diameter. the base is marked 'ENGLAND' with the number '2590'.
There is no damage - no chips or cracks - to the china but there is very feint crazing.The only other thing to mention is that the plate is just starting to wear on the rim (the lid and handle are perfect).
This is such a pretty and unique piece!
