Antique Collectables - Child's Christening Tumbler
This pretty tumbler stands 3.25 inches (8 cms) high and the diameter of the top is 2.75 inches (7 cms). The scene on the front is of two children, a boy and a girl. The girl is holding out some greenery from a basket she is holding to three rabbits close by. The boy is wearing a sailor suit and both children are depicted as 'silhouettes'. On the back of the tumbler is a black and white picture of a rabbit.
The tumbler is in very good condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. The gilding on the rim has started to wear off.
Nursery ceramics are very collectable at the moment and this is an unusual example.
