Handcrafted - Hungarian Grain Cloth Cushion (HC56)
Measuring approx 18 inches square this cushion cover has been made from an antique Hungarian grain sack.
It has the original monogram embroidered in cross stitch. This is 'T E' but it really wouldn't matter if this is not your initials. It is secured with two vintage linen buttons.
I am enclosing a cushion pad with this cover.

(Dating from the beginning of the 19th century, grain or flour sacks had different coloured stripes which identified the weaver. As they were made for agricultural purposes from home grown flax they are rustic in appearance and vary in weight and coarseness of weave. This also makes them very hard wearing).
