Eiderdowns - Black Paisley, Double (E121)
The colours on this eiderdown are bright and true. The background is black but with all the colours in the paisley and floral pattern there is less black than lighter colours. There are shades of bright crimson through to paler pink, pistachio green and pale cream. The fabric is the same on both sides and there is a piped edging. The fabric has a lovely soft feel to it and the filling seems to be more down than feathers (suggesting an eiderdown of superior quality when it was first made).
The eiderdown is in very good condition. There are no holes or mends, no stains or marks and it is still quite plump. The piping on the corners does show some wear (see photo) but this really is minimal. I think some of the quilting stitching (black) has been resewn but this is not detrimental to the condition of the eiderdown.
