Eiderdowns - Small Double, Paisley (E185)
This is a small double eiderdown which would have originally been used on a four foot bed. It measures 52.5 inches by 65 inches.
The background colour is a pale pink with the paisley pattern in shades or red, sage green, white, bright yellow and very pale beige. The pattern is the same on both sides and there is a one inch flat 'frill'. Being hypercritical, there is the merest fading on one side edge but this is barely noticeable. I have tried to show this in the last photograph.
There are no holes or mends and no stains or marks. The eiderdown does seem to have suffered from some feather loss over the years and I would give it a plumpness rating of 8 out of 10.
I particularly like this eiderdown as I think it is so feminine and has a definite vintage look to it.
