Kitchenalia - French Egg Basket (KS300)
Eggs used to be stored in baskets which could be hung from the ceiling and so out of the way of rats and mice.
This French metal egg basket measures 7 inches height (without handle) or 13 inches height (with handle). The diameter of its widest part is 9 inches. As can be seen it is capable of holding quite a lot of eggs.
This egg basket is in good condition. Over the years and much use the metal has rusted and the whole basket has bent slightly to one side - all adding to the character and authenticity of this vintage piece.
