Kitchenalia - French Egg Basket (KS407)
In the 19th century eggs were traditionally stored in open wire or willow baskets and hung from the ceiling of a larder away from rats and mice
This very unusual French egg basket is made from plastic coated wire and is capable of storing several dozen eggs. Because of its vast size perhaps it was used in a kitchen in a large country estate. The diameter at its widest part is 17 inches and the height is 12 inches (without handle), 20 inches (with handle).
Whilst you may not need an egg basket quite this size it would look stunning in a large country kitchen and I'm sure would be an item many people will comment upon!
