Enamelware - French Bucket (KE646)
As I've mentioned before, pink is an unusual colour for enamelware so I am always pleased when I find some in this colour. This is particularly attractive as the outer enamel is pink onto which white enamel has been 'speckled' to give a raised effect. The inside is pink with a red rim.
Buckets also seem to lose their lids but this still has one. It measures 11.25 inches height with a diameter if 12.5 inches at the top. On the side is the original label 'Parisiana'!!
There is evidence of rust on the inside particularly around the base and there is some chipping, the worst being on one side (see photo). Generally I would say it is in good condition given that buckets were subjected to water so much. It is watertight.
