Enamelware - French Enamel Wash Tub (KE526)
This very large vintage French enamel container would originally have been used for washing. It measures 14.5 inches diameter (18 inches width including the handles) by 6.5 inches height.
Inside the enamel is white; ouside it has a very attractive blue and white marbled effect with a navy blue rim. There is some minor chipping on the rim, three chips on the underneath and a chip on the underneath of a handle. Chipping is quite usual in vintage enamelware and this item is in remarkably good conditiion considering how much it would have been exposed to water.
This could have a great many uses and would look great hanging on the back of a door or wall.
