Kitchenalia - French Salad Basket
Made in the 19th century this French wire salad basket has been beautifullky produced. The top section closes together snugly and the wire has been carefuly twisted around the frame. Condition is often a problem with wire salad baskets as they spend so much time being wet and can become very rusty. However, this one is in remarkably good condition with only superficial rust.
This salad basket opens flat (see photo) and for this reason it could also look good displaying a plant. I have shown it here being used as storage for eggs though it is not, in fact, an egg basket.
It measures 14 inches in height.
