French Vegetable/Food Mincer

Kitchenalia - French Vegetable Mincer/Shredder

Made by the French company Mouli and dating from the 1930s this steel food mincer originally would have had three cutting discs and different coloured handles according to its purpose.  A versatile tool it was advertised as suitable for 'mincing and chopping fish, suet, vegetables and fruit, preparing paste for sandwiches, stuffing and small pieces of raw and cooked meat'.

It measures 24 cms diameter and 38 cms in total length including the handle.  Along the handle is 'MOULIN -  LEGUMES' and at the front 'MADE IN FRANCE, BREVETTE SGDG'.

This utensil is in general good condition but I would say it had been used a fair amount - this, to me, adds to its charm.
