Architectural Antiques - French Wire Basket (AA86)
This French wire basket is 'oh so shabby' and has certainly seem some use over the years. I love the very worn handle and the way the basket has become misshapen. It is rusty and one of the metal rods has broken - you just can't replicate this sort or wear and tear! There are similar new baskets for sale in the shops but I just love this one's history, whatever that may be!
The dimensions are 22 inches length by 14 inches height. The two handles are joined by the very worn wooden gripper.
This could be used for all sorts of things - in the garden for flowering bulbs, to store homegrown vegetables in the kitchen, for kindling by the fireside etc. etc.
