Handcrafted - Lavender Heart (HC86)
This heart is made from Hungarian grain sack and has co-ordinating ribbon to hang it up by secured by a vintage linen button.
It measures 6 inches length by 4 inches at its widest part and is filled with fragrant French lavender (and nothing else).

(Dating from the beginning of the 19th century, grain or flour sacks had different coloured stripes which identified the weaver. As they were made for agricultural purposes from home grown flax they are rustic in appearance and vary in weight and coarseness of weave. This also makes them very hard wearing).
