Painted French Table

Vintage Furniture - Small French Table 

This charming little table was recently bought in France.  It is of quite some age and this authentic distressed finish could never be faked!

The top Measures 14 inches by 11 inches and the height is 26 inches.  The colour of the paintwork reminds me of the sort of palette used on barges, in fact this may have been where it originated - dark green, red and black on the legs and the top is painted a dark mustard with a dark red pattern.  The top is split and the finish is chipped and blistered with age. 

This table is certainly a one-off with its own distinctive appeal.
