Pate Jar

Kitchenalia - Pate Jar

An old green pate jar measuring 5 inches in height and 3.5 inches diameter (13 cms x 9 cms).  The inside of the lid has a rubber ring and the metal catch (rather like a kilner jar but more primitive) gives the jar an airtight seal. 

From the look of this heavyweight jar I would say it is French.  It has an attractive dark green colour.
