Vintage Linens - French Embroidered Sheet (LS124)
This very large French sheet has been hand embroidered with flowers and the letters 'B B'. The top and 23 inches down the sides has a scalloped edge; this would be the turn back over blankets and eiderdown/counterpane.
The measurements of the sheet are 114 inches length by 80 inches width; this would be suitable for a small double bed.
The entire sheet has been hand sewn including the scalloped edges and the bottom hem. I believe the sheet to be made from metis linen. The condition is very good; there is just one very small hole which I have photographed. It has been freshly laundered and ironed.
