Jewellery - Silver Brooch (J023)
This silver and rose gold brooch is so pretty and delicate. Measuring 35mm length it is decorated with horseshoes and an ivy leaf. Ivy leaves were used on jewellery as a symbol of fidelity and, of course, horseshoes bring good luck so this may have been given to a bride on her wedding day.
It is hallmarked on the reverse as being made in Birmingham and I believe the date stamp to be 1899.
It is in very good condition and I have had the catch repaired so that it is absolutely secure.
