Antique Linens - Tablecloth & Napkins (LT125)
This is obviously intended for use as a tablecloth as there are six matching napkins, but I think it would make a stunning bed cover or wall hanging.
The work that has been done on this is outstanding resulting in a unique and utterly beautiful piece of craftsmanship (craftswomanship?).
Measuring 88 inches length by 61 inches width it is perfect for displaying on top of a bed (as seen in first photo). It is in wonderful condition with no marks or holes etc. and I have washed and ironed it so it is clean and fresh. Each napkin measures 14 inches square.
The hand embroidery features a tree with several peacocks sitting on the branches surrounded by flowers. The colours are bright and true and the stitchwork is exquisite.
