Vintage Linens - Tablecloth, Line, Crinoline Ladies (LT109)
It never ceases to amaze me at how expertly and beautifully embroidered some vintage tablecloths are. It must have taken so much patience, time and expertise to produce embroidery of such high quality and so often these tablecloths were then stowed away in a drawer never to be used. I never saw any of the cloths my grandmother embroidered until after her death. What a shame!
This linen cloth measures 42 inches square and is in excellent condition, beautifully white and freshly laundered. The crinoline ladies and flowers have been expertly worked in a variety of embroidery stitches and colours.
